Single Camera Sitcom

Five college friends navigate through school, love, and life together. While life is never easy and curveballs are inevitable, the extra strength you need to get through the day can be found in the family you choose.

Young Adults is a comedy web series centered around a group of friends trying to survive college, savoring the time they spend together between work and school.

Below are descriptions of the five main characters.

Emmy Walters (age 20) - She's the 2nd youngest of the group (she turns 21 in the Pilot Episode). Emmy can't help but caution the group before they do anything with the possible consequences of their actions. She takes school very seriously and because of her sheltered adolescence, she is oblivious to many things that college kids do regularly. She falls victim to peer pressure more often than she’d admit, but she’s usually happy after trying something new (not so much during).

Rosalyn "Rozz" West (age 21) - Cassie's Roommate. Loyal to a fault and would do anything for her friends. Loves to drink and sees it as an experience that makes college bearable. She is a tomboy and an avid practitioner of Jujitsu. She is easily annoyed by others and spends a good amount of her mental strength keeping her temper under control. She also has a sick sense of humor and makes strangers uncomfortable on purpose.

Gwen Landry (age 20) - She's the youngest of the group. After her parents got divorced she traveled a lot while her mother struggled to keep a job. She didn't stay in one place long enough to make friends so she used TV and Movies for comfort. This has affected the way she acts and sees the world. She discovers that she finally wants a relationship while in college but doesn't know if she's straight or gay so she's willing to try both and find out which she prefers.

Tyler Voss (age 21) - He has recently embraced his homosexuality and is trying to come into his own as a young, gay adult. He doesn't seem to fit into the gay culture and finds a lot of his peers (in the gay community) overly aggressive and lacking the romance he expected in the dating scene. He is always the last one of the group to try new things and takes his friend's word as gospel over other’s. He introduces the group to Kevin, his friend from his hometown.

Kevin Maynor (age 24) - Seems to come and go randomly (in the show) due to his schedule. He lives on the other side of town and refuses to waste gas meeting with them for only short periods of time (this sometimes causes him to stay longer than he's welcomed). He drinks as much as Rozz and seems to have a split personality depending on if he's sober or inebriated.

The idea for this web series is to have 4 seasons total (consisting of 10 episodes each season + a handful of shorts) over the course of 2 years. Each semester of school will be a season so Seasons 1 and 3 will be during the Fall semester and Seasons 2 and 4 will be during Spring semester.
Shooting will be scheduled to avoid study-heavy times during the year (Midterms/Finals).
Episodes will be 10-15 minutes each. This will require a precise schedule to be efficient and make the best product possible without dominating the cast's schedule.
